We coordinate sourcing, listing checks, diligence, inspection, payment-route evidence, import administration and freight handoff. We are not the vehicle seller unless that is expressly stated in writing.
Terms and conditions
Buyer terms for sourced UK classic and prestige vehicles.
These terms explain how Landed Classics Australia coordinates vehicle sourcing, diligence, payment routes, import support and door-to-door freight. Vehicle-specific terms may also be issued for a particular buyer file.
Landed Classics Australia is operated by Oakhampton Capital Pty Ltd. References to "we", "us" or "our" mean Oakhampton Capital Pty Ltd trading through the Landed Classics Australia service unless a buyer-file document states otherwise.
Public listings, prices, photos, specifications, Australian market ranges and landed estimates are screening information only until availability, identity, condition, documents and import pathway are verified.
A vehicle should not be purchased until the buyer approves the seller, invoice, inspection outcome, payment route, import pathway, delivery address and any file-specific commercial terms.
Our charges
Service fees are separate from vehicle purchase funds.
Current live card-payment items are an A$495 diligence-file opening fee and an A$1,500 door-to-door freight/import booking deposit. Further work may be quoted as a listing assessment, inspection pack, managed acquisition fee, success/facilitation fee, freight/import balance or other file-specific charge.
Third-party costs may include inspection, HPI/MOT/history checks, UK collection, shipping, marine insurance, import approval, customs duty, GST, luxury car tax where applicable, biosecurity, cleaning, compliance, registration, storage and local delivery.
Vehicle payment
The buyer pays the vehicle route selected for the file.
Vehicle purchase funds are normally paid by the buyer directly to the verified dealer/seller, through a recognised escrow service, or through a solicitor/client account where available. We record the selected route, payee evidence, invoice and payment records in the buyer file.
We do not act as an escrow provider unless separately agreed in legally approved documents. Bank details should only be used where issued through a verified invoice or approved payee instruction for that buyer file.
FX rates, supplier quotes, shipping availability, duty/GST, biosecurity, compliance and delivery costs can change. A landed estimate is not a fixed quote unless stated in writing.
Inspections and document checks reduce risk, but they do not guarantee condition, originality, valuation, future resale, registration approval or the absence of hidden defects.
Import approval, customs clearance, biosecurity release, compliance and state registration remain subject to the relevant authorities and the evidence available for the vehicle.
Where finance is discussed, we may introduce brokers or lenders. We do not provide credit advice, guarantee approval, quote finance terms or act as lender.
Service fees for work already performed are generally not refundable. Third-party deposits, escrow releases, freight bookings and supplier charges follow the relevant provider terms.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for seller misdescription, third-party delay, authority decisions, market movement, exchange-rate movement or buyer decisions made outside the agreed process.
Privacy
How buyer and vehicle-file information is handled.
Our privacy policy explains enquiry data, buyer-file documents, payment-route records and third-party service-provider sharing.
